About the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE)

IGAPE, Who are we?

The Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE) is a public body that was created in 1993 as a part of the Regional Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry, whose mission is to promote the creation of new enterprises, foster improvements in terms of productivity and competitiveness in businesses that are already based in the region, to attract foreign investment and to facilitate the international expansion of its producers.

The main functions of the IGAPE include organising and processing incentives for investment through grants and funding made available for projects carried out in the autonomous region of Galicia.

Integral Support Service for investors

Through its qualified staff, the IGAPE provides an exclusive integral support service for investors, with the aim of guaranteeing an excellent working environment for the correct management and development of your project.

In order to provide its services and funding to users, it has territorial offices in Galicia’s seven largest cities, together with a foreign network that serves as a bridgehead to provide support to international business projects in their respective areas of competence, or those destined for Galicia.

Unbeatable conditions for investment

As a former Convergence Region and a new “More Developed Region” for the 2014-2020 framework programme, Galicia has one of the best offers for financial support in the European Union.
